Bassist/Composer David Craig will appear on Houston PBS The Connection (Channel 8) on Tuesday, May 27th at 9pm.
It's hardly surprising that David has been sought after as a composer and bassist since before he graduated HSPVA...by the jazz community and by The Houston Symphony--with whom he performs and records regularly. David's homegrown talents have received international acclaim. His original, A Glass House In Tangiers was showcased by FOX Televisions Melrose Place in episode #17, Jake vs. Jake, in November of 1992.
Besides being a fixture at Cezanne, Houston's premiere jazz club, David recorded on Herb Ellis Down Home CD on Justice Records, and has performed with nearly every major jazz artist to visit the Houston area, including Dizzy Gillespie, Randy Brecker, Stefan Karlsson and Tom Harrell.
The Connection will showcase original compositions from Davids newest CD, The Last Concertwhich according to David will be available very soon at All Records and CD Baby. Appearing with David will be Sebastian Whittaker, Dr. Woody Witt, jazz trumpeter Dennis Dotson, and multi-flutist, Bob Chadwick.
