In Everette's words:

"Yes, we are fine here. The fires burned up to 50 yards away, but the fire fighters were magnificent in saving the houses here in Stevenson Ranch. We did have to leave (evacuate) though. They came in and said to take anything you really want to keep and pack it up. My wife and child immediately went upstairs and started packing clothes and memorabilia. I got my power screwdriver and headed straight for the studio. Fortunately the fire slowed down enough for us to get just about everything out that we wanted. I tore the whole studio down and put it in the back of a pickup that a friend loaned me.
Like I said, the fire fighters did a great job, and we were only out of the house for a few hours. The flames got up to 100 ft. tall. I will post pictures on my website (
http://www.everetteharp.com) sometime in Dec.
I am trying to finish up my latest project for a new label. It is supposed to be released in March, but because of the fire I will probably have to delay it a couple of weeks. Wish me luck.
God Bless,
Everette"
Even though the worst is over for the Harps, let's all keep them in our thoughts. Must have been a terribly frightening experience (especially for their child) which will take awhile to get over.
