Vocalist Cindy Scott (www.cindyscott.us) lives, teaches, and performs regularly in New Orleans. A well-respected clinician and private instructor of contemporary commercial vocal techniques, Scott holds a Master of Music degree from the University of New Orleans. She proudly teaches Somatic Voicework - the Lovetri Method™ in which she is Level III Certified.
As an artist, Cindy has found a happy marriage between her jazz roots and the musical gumbo that pervades New Orleans. Her most recent CD, Let the Devil Take Tomorrow, was voted New Orleans’ Best Contemporary Jazz Recording for 2010. Cindy has had recent performances in Switzerland, Germany, Luxembourg, Kazakhstan, and Mexico, as well as in US cities including New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, and Kansas City. She has shared the stage with Mark Murphy, Karrin Allyson, Roseanna Vitro, Randy Porter, Badal Roy, Carlos Malta, Herlin Riley, and Ellis Marsalis, among many others.
Guitarist Brian Seeger (www.brianseeger.com) earned a Bachelor of Music from Berklee College of Music, and a Master of Music from the University of New Orleans. Brian is a full-time faculty member in the University of New Orleans Jazz Studies department where he teaches arranging, composition, music technology, and music business, directs ensembles, mentors budding producers and recording engineers, and oversees the busy recording studio and learning labs.
His performance and recording credits include work with such diverse talents as Rebecca Paris, Karrin Allyson, Aaron Neville, Charlie Hunter, Davell Crawford, Stanton Moore, Nicholas Payton, Cindy Scott, and Zachary Richard. He has played countless music festivals in the US and abroad, tours frequently in Europe with several bands, and has represented the United States on several State Department-sponsored jazz ambassador tours.
