Continuing a tradition begun with Dave Brubeck and his quartet in 
2006, the Houston Chamber Choir turns its talents to jazz. Ellington, 
like Brubeck, wrote sacred music throughout his career. The Chamber 
Choir and guest singers under the direction of Robert Simpson join 
forces with a stellar big band led by Barrie Lee Hall, Ellington's 
long-time trumpeter with guest aritist Paul English at the piano in 
this rare glimpse into sacred side of The Duke.
