The eccentric pop star will never again perform, and can no longer answer questions, defend accusations, or entice us.

Say what you may (and there is plenty to say), the man was incredibly talented and had a remarkable life. 50 is too young for anyone.

I can't think of another artist that was as beautiful and tragic as MJ. His extremes were simultaneously mystifing and frightening to me. I truly believe his life-force measured out higher amplitudes and reached extremes that he had no choice but to no only express his gifts and but his folly publicly. As out there as he seemed us he affected millions of people over the years. It is truly an uncanny spiritual gift to be able to connect with people through entertainment on that scale.

In youth he was so beautiful I could not turn to look away for fear of missing something. Later on he was so bizarre and hideous it was painful to even glance at him when his image flitted by on the tv.

I recently thought to myself that MJ's best and most influential times were long behind. However, there are songs of his that will always make me dance, sing, and feel joy. And others I will always cringe and pity him for his tragic life.

    RIP Michael

His singing on "Got To Be There", "Never Can Say Goodbye" still brings me to tears. The greatness overwhelms me.

His contributions to music the past 45 years (!!!) have been numerous. I was just listening to him in his Jackson 5 days performing a song called "Ben" that was just amazing, especially considering he was around 13! That's a lot of soul for someone so young.

    Simply awesome!

This was a very sad day. I found so much enjoyment hearing and watching Michael. He will be in my thoughts and prayers for quite a while!

Michael Jackson visited another world when he was on stage. He just recently moved to that "Other World". He will join a lot of other great musicians living there. Perhaps he has found the peace he searched for, but never found off the stage.
