Thank you, Andrew and thank you, Paul. I must say I am quite taken. It's hard to put into words my gratitude to Paul for his heartfelt review. I'm quite speechless (well, almost)!

Paul:
I don't know what my opinion is worth. But,,,I am serious. Your reviews are some of the best I have ever read. You should pursue this as a side career.
I have always enjoyed your playing, but, this writing thing, is showing you are more than just a great musician.

Thanks, Paul. I might consider it actually as I really enjoyed writing them. I'll do a few more and see what happens. My fears are a) if it came down to it, could I, in good conscience, write a more negative review of a fellow artist? And b) is there really that much of a market for a jazz critic in Houston?
That said, I wouldn't mind doing it, so long as it doesn't get in the way of playing and teaching. You think I should go to the Houston Press or is there another outlet to look into?
Thanks to all who've read the reviews and those that have commented. I have been very humbled by the responses. I didn't know how they would be received as I had never done one before Woody's. It has been a great experience so far and I look forward to doing more!

Paul,
I'm not surprised. I've watched your posts on JH for quite a while now, and have always admired your writing skills. With those skills, coupled with your skill and insight as a player, you have an unbeatable combination to call into play. Keep up the good work.
