There were two horn/bands in the late 1960's which open up the way that music could be play, Tower of Power, with the Soul/approach and Blood Sweat and Tears with the Rock/Jazz approach,(Blood Sweat and Tears even forced, Mile Davis into the Rock/Jazz wagon in 1969. Later the Disco/mania took over por almost a decade creating bitterness in the Rock and Jazz circuit. Gerry Zaragemca

I loved Seawind (from Hawaii). A little less mainstream but Jerry Hey (and his horns) won his first Grammy with this group.
