Background

Hello we are looking for a Bassist. My name is Mark and I play drums and my good friend Erol Plays Guitar and sings. Let me tell you a little bit about what we are looking to do as a band. Erol and I have played a lot of gigs in the past, both of us are serious students and looking to start a jazz/variety band. We are still new to jazz but can progress very fast, we have both been playing for over 13 years and have some jazz training from college. I have played with a jazz, boogie woggie swing group for the last 3 years and various rock projects. Erol plays solo gigs on classical Guitar, rock gigs, is a private lesson teacher and composer. Here is what we are looking for. > >We would like a person who can grow with us as a band to start playing weddings, corporate events, and anything else that pays. A person who understands that at the beginning we may have a learning curve before the gigs start and the money comes. A person willing to practice with us from time to time. We would like to play jazz, rock, pop, and other styles in order to have a variety of places to play. > >We have a PA and a rehearsal studio at the Rhythm room near I 10 and the beltway.
