Background

Abbie “Panama” is one of Houston’s leading percussionists with over 15 years of experience performing Latin jazz, salsa, straight jazz, pop, gospel, rock, calypso, soca and reggae. He is an innovative percussionist with a true feeling for the music. Abbie has incorporated in his style, a number of influences from the “old & new school” percussionists. His credits include Jazz N’ Clave, Universal Rhythms, Orquesta Saoco, Rico Jazz, Orquesta Rico Melao, Classic Salsa, Mango Punch! and other local bands. He also played with International Artists, Alex D’Castro, Anthony Trottman and Yomo Toro.
