Background
I grew up in Houston and began playing live music at age 14 with guitarist Gary Dorsey and the late tenor saxophonist Jerald Gray. I left H-town a dozen times, and studied and played music in various places; lived and worked in Boston, Las Vegas, Hollywood, Denton, and Austin. I hold degrees in music education, music performance, film scoring, and jazz studies, and currently teach electronic music, jazz improvisation, piano and trumpet at Lone Star College - Kingwood, Lone Star College - Montgomery, and Weatherford College outside Ft. Worth. I love jazz and blues, and I like to share and collaborate (interact) with others who dig the art.
I host a Jazz Jam at Dan Electro's Guitar Bar in the Heights (1031 East 24th Street) every Sunday night. House Band starts at 7 p.m. each week. Free admission
I am readily available for recording sessions, private and corporate parties, wedding gigs, receptions, and other events
