Background

Hello. As you know, my name is Scott McGinty. I play the saxophones (TENOR AND ALTO MAINLEY), and some flute. Im currentley working on my clarinet skills (SOPRANO AND BASS)! Im 16 years old and currently a junior a HSPVA! I am in the Young Sounds of Houston Jazz Orchestra, and maybe a part of the Houston Civic Jazz Ensemble for 01-02! My recent accomplishments include making the Texas All-State Jazz Ensemble for 2nd Tenor, being accepted into HSPVA, and working on an endorsement for the Boosey & Hawkes Keilwerth Saxophone Co. I am interested in all types of music, but my main love is the great word JAZZ! All types of jazz, or anything that includes improvisation. I'm currentley not under anybody for lessons, but if you can help me out with anything, feel free to call me anytime. Also, Im always available for playing. Right now, I am studying the depth of hard-bop with a buddy of mine, Frank Battaglia (We're both TRANE nuts!), and working on my own compositions. Hope to hear from anybody soon!!
