Background
I am a Female Singer/Songwriter/Rhythm Guitarist/Percussionist.
Mainly do original music and some covers.
Born in Galveston, Texas to a Clarinet playing Father who listened to "Victory at Sea" and The "Tijuana Brass" and a Mother who played Drums in her High School band.
Began singing in Choirs at the age of 5.
Learned to play Ukulele, Gourds, Rocks, and Bamboo Sticks (for Hula) while living in Hawaii at the age of 10.
Began writing songs and teaching myself to play Guitar in 1982.
I was accepted (only 300 accepted out of 1,300 applicants) to Music & Art H.S. in N.Y.C. but could not attend due to my father being transferred (U.S. Coast Guard).
Toured Europe performing and setting up Sound & Light Boards in an entertainment troop and competed in Talent Contests in the U.S. Air Force.
Performed and ran Sound & Light Boards in different bands while stationed in Germany.
Have been Singing Lead & Harmony Vocals and playing Rhythm Acoustic Guitar on Demo tapes for local artists since 1985.
I attended Alvin Community College for a few semesters taking Voice, Sound Recording and Business in music courses.
Perform with other Local Singer/Songwriters including Jerry Weatherton.
Sang Harmonies on Mike Amabiles most recent Acoustic CD.
Previously sang Back-up for "Us and Them" a Pink Floyd Tribute Band.
Previously sang Back-up for Luckless Pedestrian a Steely Dan Tribute Band.
Presently looking for musicians to form an original/cover Blues/Rock Band.
