Background

35 year old drummer, electric bassist, vocalist and amateur trumpeter and keyboardist who plays in numerous bands. Jazz experience includes vocal standards and some rhythmic work. In 2007 I will be available for pickup work as I am taking a one year hiatus from singing to get my voice worked on and rested. I have been playing in bands since 7th grade. I have managed, booked and toured with The El Orbits and Banana Blender Surprise and have backed up many other musicians on drums including Archie Bell, Roy Head, Chuck Berry, Barbara Mason, Andre Williams and Big Robert Smith. I have producing and engineering experience as well, yet I feel like am better at complementing a superior sound engineer than running the show. I have vintage Ludwig drums, including a 1959 stand-up cocktail kit, vintage Fender tube bass rigs, Farfisa organs, and Fender guitars. My guitar skills are limited to rock and roll. I can read charts but prefer to play more by the ear. I am available to rehearse and also have a small rehearsal space.
