Background

Mike is a formally trained guitarist with over 30 years of performing, teaching, and recording experience in many musical styles. Mike is a graduate of the Dick Groves School Of Music (School Without Walls). Mike is originally from the Houston/Austin area, but he spent thirteen years in Chicago working in many musical venues, including session work. Mike has shared the stage with artists such as Lonnie Brooks, Koko Taylor, Charlie Daniels, Pam Tillis, Louise Mandrell, Jim Peterik and the Ides Of March, Kirk Whalum, Hank Williams Jr., and John Sebastian and The Lovin' Spoonful.
