Background

 Inspired by a musical family, Ryan Todd Garza began playing drums at the age of five.  By nine, he found himself drumming in both school and church, and could be seen playing professionally around the Lubbock area before he turned fourteen.  By the time he graduated high school, Ryan had competed numerous times on the state level in both marching and concert percussion, performed with the premier ensembles at South Plains College, and had become a first call drummer for many local musicians.  During his last year as a high school student, Ryan enrolled as a full time music major at SPC, where he began advanced studies with mentor Al Gardner and received an associate degree in commercial music December of 2010. A very new resident to the Houston area, Ryan is currently studying percussion under Joel Fulgham and continues to work closely with the Commercial Music Department of South Plains College to further develop its drum program.
