Background

I am a tenor saxophonist. Primary interest - bebop, hardbop, free and some fusion. Favorites: Coltrane, Davis, Mingus, Monk, Shepp, Shorter, Redman. President of the Calcutta, India based jazz society "Congo Square" (www.congosq.org). Have organized 5 international jazz festivals in Calcutta. A very serious student of Jazz since 1965.
