Background

Sterling Overshown is a young musician. He has played at several places such as, Jones Hall for the Preservation Hall Jazz band, Time-Warner Cable's Movies-in-the-Park (now known as Comcast Cable)Also he has played at Great Day Houston,the Corpus Christi Jazz Festival,Ovations, The Red Cat Jazz Cafe, the Kemah Jazz Festival,and also Miller Outdoor Theatre with various groups. Sterling currently plays in the Young Sounds Of Houston, and attends The High School For The Performing And Visual Arts. He plays with another Young Jazz Ensemble, called "Step It Up" which has been featured in several venues around the Houston area, both public and private. He has also played in several churches and many other community affairs in the Houston area.
