Background

 

Steve began his music career on the piano at the age of seven. He grew up listening to the classic voices of Frank Sinatra, Jack Jones, John Gary, Johnny Mathis and the like.

He gained experience in a variety of different singing styles in school, community groups and college. While at the University of Northern Colorado he studied vocal jazz with Gene Aitkin. Weekends found Steve singing and playing keyboard for a popular country band. Steve sang on the Grammy Nominated UNC Hot 5 album where he was a featured soloist. Steve has performed in many professional musical theater productions and sings regularly with The Houston Grand Opera. Steve versatility as a singer has afforded him a variety of opportunities. And now he gets to sing in the style of those first great voices he was introduced to as a child by his parents.
