Background
Eduardo "Tito" Hernandez
is a graduate of Fort Bend 's Willowridge High School where he
studied under the direction of the late Ronald B. Thornton. Upon
graduating from Willowridge, Tito began to further his studies with saxophonist/recording artist Gary Keller at the
University of Miami Frost School of Music as a Studio Music and Jazz
Major. He later finished his undergraduate studies at The University of
Houston Moores School of Music and was accepted to the Masters program
at The Manhattan School of Music in New York City where he studied with
world renowned recording artists such as Bob Mintzer, Dave Liebman, and
Michael Brecker. Since returning to Houston , Tito has taught from the
elementary to the college level and continues to play professionally in
the local scene as well as travel with many artists. He has performed
with the likes of The Temptations, The O'Jays, Tito Puente Jr., Jerry
Rivera, Wynton Marsalis, and Regina Belle to name a few. He has also
performed with Victor Manuelle at the Latin Grammys.
