Harvie S is the perennial favorite NY sideman. Having played on over 100 CDs with jazz luminaries like Michael Brecker and Kenny Baron. Here, he takes the role of leader with a band of Houston's best jazz players. Co-producer Chris Cortez on guitar, Woody Witt on tenor and soprano sax, Joel Fulgham on drums, Jose Miguel Yamal on keys, James Metcalfe on percussion, and the leader of course plays the bass. Profound writing and playing throughout this disc. Two non- original tunes: Elli Gheal Chiuin based on the traditional Irish folk song, and the Wayne Shorter composition Night Dreamer.
